Update again

Due to a little accident I had while cooking I will be tyoing a little slower now.
that is a little embarassing and stupid since I have to finish four more endings AND all that which is still needed for the Demo of Chained Sorceress.
Well I think it will be fine in another couple of days and after the oral exams I will work again!
The sprites for Final Banquet re pretty much finished.
Alua and Xares are, and Krymar is around 70%...
Maybe I should do the interface if I can't type....

Update

The true ending of Final Banquet is finished now.
I will go over it once more after I have finished the other endings.
The stats so far:

The game contains 985 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 8,712 words,
for an average of 8.8 words per screen.
The game contains 44 menus.


There wasn't that much left to write and I did not do too much.
I was really lazy...
But I did choose some music for the game.
About 50% of it so far.

Now I will be working on Perios again.
I need to finish the first interaction with Zehat!
The sooner the better and once that is done I will do Krymars bad ending...

Yay!

So Nexirs sprite is pretty much finished now.
At least the base sprite, not the expressions...
I have added the base colors to the picture and sent it back to Yuen - so she can give it the final touch!
(My shadows are a little lacking...)
One he is finished I will post him here and give you guys more information about him.
After all everything that is in the post is kind of scetchy!
It wont be too much.. since I don't want to spoil you!

Sword Vs Staff and Perios...

A well, this is not really my project, but since it is Chrizines I will post it anyways.
Well the game is about Chidora, a princess that finds herself kidnapped one night.
Sounds clichee?

I present you the tale of the beautiful princess Chidora who is kidnapped by an evil mage and locked into a high tower guarded by monsters - in the middle of the night!
And princess Chidora decides to make the best out of her situation. After all it is not all day, that a princess gets kidnapped and locked into a tower!
How could this possibly turn out?
She now has to deal with the evil kidnapper and the knight in shining armour, who is certainly on the way to save her...
And she doesn't want to miss her breakfast in the castle after all!

well, the game is not meant to be taken too serious.
It is supposed to be funny!
So laught!

Well this update is to generally say, that the proofreading has been finished.. meaning the game will be out as soon as the art is finished...
Well...
That might take some time. Especially if I really have to take care of the art...
I don't even like the sprite of Chidora anymore.. it looks messy and her hair is odd!!!
But all my scetches turn out even worse...
I'm not happy, not happy at all.
And really sorry that she cannot release the game now... and has to wait (for me or the other artist(and I'm no artist)).

As mentioned in the titel, there will also be a little about Perios here.
If forgot about it in my last post, so it will be added here.
One of the character scetches for one of the teachers has been finished.
I like how she turned out.
Her name is Jadora Avore and she is the Runes magic and politics teacher at Thrytinach.
She does not fit that role, does she? don't let her apperance fool you.

She plais a bigger role in project perios than in Perios- Chained Sorcress.
After all Perios-CS is only the first game that we have planned! You woudn't believe...
Enough of that.
We will finish the first one, then comes Cloak of Secrecy...
A topic for another time.

I was right

...about Nexir that is. It may take some time since yu_eriyama  and I don't agree about Nexirs arm lengh.
That sounds stupid doesn't it?
Well, I believe that her explanation is right, but in my eyes it looks wrong...
But I'm sure we will find a compromise.

I also wrote a little on Final Banquet.
The new stats:

The game contains 901 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 8,018 words,
for an average of 8.9 words per screen.
The game contains 44 menus.


I did not make that much progress now did I?
Not even 1000 words - but still, it's better than nothing.
The true ending is about 70% finished.
Truth to be told:
At the beginning the true ending did not exist, but since I could not get the idea for the sequel (which I probably wont make) out of my head, it know looks like this!
Six endings instead of five.
I write them down in order of how much I like them... at least a little.
Since I like Xares best his endings will be written last.
For motivation purposes.

Nexir and Writing progress

I have recieved the first sprite version of Nexir today.
While I really like the pose - it fits him perfectly, there are some things about it that look a little strange.
I hope yuen corrects them, but it might take time since she is very busy with other work.

We might have to wait a little longer for the next version of Nexir, but that is fine - it's not like we are finished with writing.
Actually we are far from it...
There are around 100 scenes we have to write until the game is finished - some of them longer than others - and so far we have 10...
So writingis at 10%.
Not that much really, but we are working on it.
Maybe I should not say 10 % because after completing it we might have to change some scenes because they turned out kind of stupid, but I guess I will call that process Polishing.
Or something...

Erias Character Sprite and Final Banquet Update

Yay, Yuen finished the Sprite for Erias.
Here you can see the Uniform of Thrytinach - the school our heroine is going to!
It is the uniform for the boys... how to you like it?

Erias Elm is one of the optainable guys in the game.
He Student of the shielding and rune magic division of the academy. His control of his magic is similar to none which makes being around him quite dangerous. But other than that he is a kind and polite boy who, unfortunately, is the main target of the school's biggest bully - Nexir.
Who will be up next.
Chrizine and I are currently working on a demo, and I hope you will be looking forward to it.
The demo will covers the introduction and the first day of the game. You will meet all of the guys (exept for the secret character) and we are hoping for positive feedback.
The demo will not include any CGs and Zehat will possibly not have a proper sprite since his character design isn't finished yet.

The game contains 1,144 screens of dialogue.
These screens contain a total of 11,226 words,
for an average of 9.8 words per screen.
The game contains 20 menus.


The statistics for Perios so far. Please keep in mind that the number of menus is due to the fact that you are able to choose two out of five subjects at the beginning of the game.
The choice will influence how well the boys like you to beginn with and unlock certain CGs.


As for Final Banquet, I am proud to say, that I have finished writing the bad ending.
1 done 5 more to go... plus decision points between good and bad ending.
I am not sure how complex they will be...
The next ending I am writing is the true one.

Welcome to the first entry on my blog.
Minions of the dark lord - Productions is Chrizine and I, Arithra, working on our VNs.
This blog is mine though, so the projects I do by myself will also be listed here.
Here I will reveal some spoilers for the visual novel I am working on.
Currently that would be Final Banquet and Perios - Chained Sorceress, the latter is a joint project with my dear friend Chrizine.
Since I am a very lazy person there might not be this much written here - or the entrys might not be that long...
But I promise I will write something.
Even if it is only an idea I came up with or the feedback for another otome-game I played!
